Anonymous asked: I would just like to comment on your statement to the person who said they are atheist. As a Muslim, I don't think it's right for us to say that we accept that someone does not believe in God. It is our duty to spread the word of Islam. To spread the message of the Oneness of Allah. As a Muslim, we are to promote peace & we accept & respect others' beliefs but I don't believe it's right to condone (or say you respect) the fact that someone believes they do not believe in God. Awesome blog btw!
As Salaamu Alaykom :)
Shukran for the comment. Always appreciated :)
I may not agree with their decision to be an Atheist, but I have to respect others beliefs, as Islam teaches us non-judgement, only Allah SWT can judge. You say as a Muslim we must respect others’ beliefs, but in the same breath you say I mustn’t condone/respect atheism, so that bit is slightly confusing.
I don’t promote Shirk & I always encourage those with questions about Islam to approach me, and I try to spread Da’wah, and the little I do know, where I can and with Islamic related posts, but I mostly post it on my other blog (apolitically-correct.tumblr.com).
I wholeheartedly believe that there is no God but Allah SWT & the Nabi Mohammad SAW is His Last messenger.
I just feel that I can’t attack someone regarding their personal beliefs, because I would be horribly offended if someone were to judge me for being a Muslim.
I hope this answers your comment in a way, I apologise if it is insufficient.
Jazakallah Khair for the message :)

[CW: discussion of rape culture and violence]
This reminds me of an article about online (heterosexual) dating that I read a while ago. It listed men’s and women’s worst fears about meeting someone from online. The highest ranked fear that men had was that their date would be fat, whereas the highest ranked fear that women had was that their date would turn out to be violent and kill them.
I think that says a lot.
